What is Botox Cosmetic®

What can I expect after Botox?
Although patients see some improvement right away, it can take up to two weeks for your final results to emerge.
There’s no downtime required, meaning you can return to your regular activities. Your Botox results will last between three and four months, after which you can return for re-treatment with our expert injectors.
Botulinum Toxin Type A
The active ingredient in Botox Cosmetic® is Botulinum toxin type A. We offer this treatment at Innova Wellness Spa for patients who’d like to see beauty and skin rejuvenation results without resorting to surgery.
Neurotoxins produce a smooth appearance by disrupting nerve signals which cause muscle tension. The skin relaxes when these muscles underneath relax, reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Botox Cosmetic® injectables produce a lifted and youthful look lasting many months at a time.
Post Treatment
It may take up to 12 days for Botox to take full effect.
A follow-up visit at 10 days to 2 weeks is suggested to assess results for subsequent treatments, particularly if you are a first time client.

BOTOX® Cosmetic may cause serious side effects that can be life threatening. Get medical help right away if you have any of these problems any time (hours to weeks) after injection of BOTOX® Cosmetic :
Problems swallowing, speaking, or breathing, due to weakening of associated muscles, can be severe and result in loss of life. You are at the highest risk if these problems are pre-existing before injection. Swallowing problems may last for several months.
Spread of toxin effects. The effect of botulinum toxin may affect areas away from the injection site and cause serious symptoms including: loss of strength and all-over muscle weakness, double vision, blurred vision and drooping eyelids, hoarseness or change or loss of voice, trouble saying words clearly, loss of bladder control, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
